Modernizing a world-class summit venue for international diplomacy.
International congress centers play a critical role in hosting diplomatic gatherings, governmental meetings, and global events where reliability, security, and operational efficiency are paramount.
In preparation for a major international summit, Astana Congress Centre underwent a comprehensive technological modernization aimed at transforming the venue into a state-of-the-art conferencing environment capable of meeting contemporary international standards. Asimetrik was entrusted with the redesign and implementation of the venue's entire audiovisual and communication infrastructure.
A holistic approach to system modernization
The project demanded a holistic approach. Every subsystem was reviewed and redesigned to ensure seamless interoperability, operational simplicity, and long-term reliability. The upgraded infrastructure included congress and conferencing systems, professional audio reinforcement, LED display technologies, simultaneous interpretation systems, architectural and event lighting, as well as centralized control and monitoring solutions.
Operational efficiency at the core
Particular attention was given to operational efficiency. While the venue needed to support highly complex international events, the user experience for operators had to remain intuitive and manageable. The resulting system architecture allows technical teams to efficiently manage multiple technologies through streamlined workflows and centralized control.

Security and reliability by design
Given the venue's role in hosting international governmental events, security and reliability were treated as fundamental design principles. The infrastructure was developed to meet the stringent requirements expected in diplomatic and high-level conference environments, ensuring stable and secure operation throughout critical events.
Delivered under pressure
One of the most significant challenges of the project was the delivery schedule. The modernization works were completed within a highly compressed timeline in order to prepare the venue for the upcoming summit.
